브록 대학은 캐나다의 관광명소 중 하나인 나이아가라 폭포에서 15분거리, 토론토에서는 약 1시간 거리에 위치하고 있습니다.

대학입학을 목적으로 영어연수를 받는 학생들을 위해 브록 대학이 제공하는 ESL 프로그램인 IELP 코스를 마지막 단계까지 마치면TOEFL 점수 없이 브록 대학에 입학이 가능합니다.

IELP 프로그램은 총 14주 코스, 일주일 25시간 수업으로 대학입학을 목적으로 하는 학생들을 위해 마련된 프로그램입니다. 6단계로 구성되어 있으며, 과정 이수후 수료증을 수여합니다.

어학연수생에게 컴퓨터가 할당되며 어학실습실 사용은 물론 은행이나 카페테리아, 서점 등에서 정규과정학생들과 똑같은 혜택을 받을 수 있습니다. 또한 대학내의 음악 수업이나 연감, 뉴스레터 등 다양한 교내활동에 참여할 수 있으며 체육관 이용이 가능합니다.

[14-Week Course]

* Sessions begin in January, May and September
* 25 hours of class a week in English reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar
* Academic preparation for university entrance
* Six levels: preparatory through advanced (duration of each level = 14 weeks)
* Final transcripts and certificates upon completion of a level
* Entry and exit International Test of English Language Proficiency(ITELP) scores on transcripts
* Self-Access Centre
* Excursions to local places of interest; Niagara Falls, Toronto

[5-Week Course]

* 20 hours of class a week in English Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking
* 2 hours of workshops and socio-cultural activities every afternoon.
* Final transcripts and certificates upon completion
* Entry and exit Michigan Scores
* Daily workshops and activities

[Special Programs]

[Teaching English (TESL)]

* Advanced students may be interested in the Linguistics and TESL programs in the Department of Applied Language Studies. That department offers TESL qualifications at the undergraduate, post-graduate certificate, and M.Ed. level. Details are available from the Chair, Department of Applied Language Studies.
* As well as Canadian students, our program has prepared ESL teachers from Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Italy, Brazil, the USA and Venezuala. Our graduates are working all over the world.
